CANADA PNP PROGRAM
Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories, and each individual province has their own economical and geographical needs. The Provincial Nominee Programs are aimed at those who have the skills, education and professional experience to address the specific needs and contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory.
Each province has its own programs, or “streams” that target certain specific groups of people, with their own set of rules, depending on their own needs. Some streams might be available frequently, while others may open only once in a while.
Once you apply to immigrate to Canada via a Provincial Nominee Program, you must show intent in living and working in that province, with the long-lasting interest of contributing to its economy and society.
Upon being approved by a provincial government, you will receive a nomination certificate. This nomination will allow you to submit an application for final consideration of the Federal government of Canada.

ONTARIO PNP
The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (OPNP) is a government initiative that allows Canada’s province of Ontario to select and nominate individuals who have the skills and experience necessary to contribute to the province’s economic development. The program aims to attract foreign nationals who are willing to live and work in Ontario, thereby enriching its diverse culture and fostering growth in various industries. The OPNP offers different streams, including the Employer Job Offer and Human Capital Priorities streams, to cater to the specific needs and qualifications of potential immigrants. Successful applicants receive a provincial nomination, which can significantly increase their chances of obtaining permanent residency in Canada. With its welcoming environment, vibrant cities, and numerous employment opportunities, Ontario is a highly sought-after destination for individuals seeking a better future in Canada.
ALBERTA PNP
The Alberta Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is a government immigration program that allows the province of Alberta to nominate individuals who have the skills and experience needed to contribute to the province’s economy. Through this program, individuals have the opportunity to apply for permanent residency in Alberta. The PNP focuses on attracting individuals who have work experience in occupations that are in high demand in Alberta, such as healthcare, engineering, and information technology. The program aims to address the labor market needs of the province and promote economic growth. Successful applicants through the Alberta PNP receive a nomination certificate, which can then be used to apply for permanent residency with the federal government. This program provides a pathway for skilled workers to become permanent residents and contribute to the growth and development of the province.
BC PNP
The BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is an immigration program designed to attract skilled workers, entrepreneurs, and international graduates who can contribute to the economic development of British Columbia. The program offers various streams through which individuals can apply for a nomination, including the Skills Immigration stream, the Express Entry BC stream, and the Entrepreneur Immigration stream. These streams target different categories of applicants, such as skilled workers, international graduates, and individuals with business experience. Successful applicants who are nominated by the province can then apply for permanent residency to the federal government. The BC PNP provides individuals with a pathway to establish themselves in British Columbia and contribute to its diverse and thriving economy.
Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program is a government initiative in Canada aimed at attracting and retaining skilled workers and international graduates to the Atlantic provinces. This program helps to address the labor market needs of the region and support economic development. The Atlantic provinces participating in this program include Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. Under this program, employers in these provinces can hire foreign workers for positions that they are unable to fill locally. The program offers three streams for skilled workers: the Atlantic High-Skilled Program, the Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program, and the Atlantic International Graduate Program. Successful applicants and their families can obtain permanent residence in Canada. This program provides a great opportunity for individuals to start a new life in the Atlantic provinces and contribute to the growth and prosperity of the region.
No matter which province you intend to live in Canada, as a part of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) process, your application will have at least two stages: the application process at the provincial level and, upon nomination, the submission at the Federal level. No matter what province you choose to apply for, you will need to go through a medical exam and get a police clearance (certificate) before your permanent residence application can be completed.
Each Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) determines the streams and application process that you will follow in order to receive a nomination as well as how to proceed right after the provincial nomination is issued. There are two types of application to consider: paper-based applications and online applications (through Express Entry).
Online applications through Express Entry
If you meet the eligibility criteria for the province or territory of your choice, you must submit your express entry profile and follow the instructions to apply for the provincial nominee program of choice.
To apply for a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) through the online Express Entry process, you either:
● Contact the province or territory and apply for a nomination under an Express Entry stream
OR
● Create an Express Entry profile and show the provinces and territories you’re interested in, then, if a province or territory sends you a “notification of interest” to your account, you can contact them directly and apply for their program, following their specific guidelines.
In both cases, if you’re nominated, the province will assign 600 points to you through your account, and you can accept it electronically. After you accept the points assigned for your nomination, you will have enough points to be selected on the next Express Entry draw so that you can send your online application to IRCC.
